Today is my first day at Banksia Park International High School.
This is the reception which we wait for other students. All of us go to school by car which are driving by our host family. Some of the local students go to school by car and some of them go to school on foot and even by cycling.
Here is the administration room. I am surprise to see that there are Chinese and Japanese meaning of administration ! I am glad that Banksia Park International High School is friendly to students who come from different countries.
I think that Banksia Park International High School is much bigger that my secondary school, it has a big lawn for us to do different sports, different buildings for different subjects such as science and music etc , many classrooms and also have 2 basketball courts!
Firstly, we have experienced an art lesson for 25 minutes. The art teacher is teaching students how to use different types of charcoal to draw a picture which I never try this before!
Then, we met our buddies. My buddy is call Jack, he is kind at me. When it is time to recess, he brought me to his friends to chat with them .
After recess we had a school tour which was guided by Miss T.
This is our classroom which we will be there for some lessons
Here is the resources center which is library in our school. I saw that every local students are very patient and quiet to study by themselves with those useful information. I hope that this will happen in my secondary school.
Also I really need to say that the school is very close to nature. I felt very relaxed while walking on the lawn. I haven't walk on a grass for a long time
After the tour we went to the gymnasium to play soccer with the local students. Unfortunately most of us wore leather shoes which made us hard to run and kick the ball. Anyway, it is a fun when playing!
After that we had a Tourism class to learn about Australia's culture e.g. Australia's flag.
Then it is time for lunch! i bought garlic rice with chicken and roasted pork in sauce and a banana. When I want to heat up the lunch box, I asked Jack where can I heat it up. When I finished my meal, the school bells rang.
After lunch we had a Aboriginal studies to learn a Australia myths of creating world.
Lastly we painted our own boomerang.
So thats what happened on the 3rd day in Australia. Of course it is not the end. Next day, we are going to play Amazing race!
